"Love is the only fuel you need..."
Prime Mover is a new Australian film directed by David Caesar (Mullet, Dirty Deeds), which will embark on a road trip throughout regional NSW this Thursday. The two week exclusive 'country' preview season is believed to be a first, and celebrates the communities and locations where Prime Mover was filmed.
The film opens nationally on November 12, and Transmission Films has generously given us 10 in-season double passes for indie art & design to giveaway! Check that you can make it to one of the cinemas where Prime Mover will be screening (listed below), and comment on this post by Friday 6th November to enter! (Why not tell us your favourite mode of transport... truck, motorbike, sedan, bicycle, bus, hot-hatch, 4WD, caravan, tangara, combi van, mini, ute, scooter, your first car, your new car, by foot?)

Starring an ensemble cast of Australian actors, including Michael Dorman, Emily Barclay, Ben Mendelsohn and William McInnes, Prime Mover is a diesel charged romance about ambition, pressure, responsibility and the love shared by a man, a woman and his truck. It is a bitter sweet crowd pleaser with action, some singing and a little bit of dance.

Dorman plays a talented truck pinstriper in Prime Mover, and there is a special section on the web site devoted to the various trucks and other vehicles that star in the film! The web site itself is really impressive, with a truckin' interface & an oversized load of pics...

"A funny and moving slice of everyday life mixed with a smattering of magic realism, Prime Mover offers a whole new perspective on the Australian trucking way of life." Melbourne International Film Festival
The Prime Mover Soundtrack features Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson, Michael Dorman and Abbe May with the original score by Paul Healy.

Prime Mover opens nationally on 12th November 2009 at the following cinemas:
NSW: Palace Verona, Dendy Newtown
VIC: Carlton Nova, Village Rivoli
QLD: Dendy Portside
ACT: Dendy Canberra
WA: Luna Leederville
If you can make it to one of those locations, make sure to comment on this post and enter our draw for one of 10 double passes!

YOU ALL WIN!
I'm so excited that we received the perfect number of responses so that I can giveaway all the double-passes and nobody misses out! Thanks to all of you for entering - I've been enjoying your automobile tales! Amazing that both Nic & Erica had/have the same model Corona too...
and Porlenta - we have a Jeep Wrangler :) A cute white TJ named Stampy. He goes with us on many camping holidays and otherwise doesn't have to do much at all since we're in walking distance of most things... It's a challenge to squeeze a dog into the back with all the camping gear though - the last few times our dog travelled in air-conditioned comfort in our friends' car - another Jeep, but the next size up!
I'll email you all individually, but if you see this comment in the meantime, please email me your postal address. Congrats to all!

Hey Nic! I have a Toyota Corona 1979 ATM! Great little car, her name is Gwen and she purrs like a kitten.
I love driving at night at the end of a hot summers day with the window down and seeing other people cruising around to escape the heat of their pent up houses......
I would love the Canberra Dendy tickets please, sounds like a roaring movie! :-)
Road Train.
I love riding in the passenger seats of cars, especially with so many of my friends now with their own cars studded with those beautiful green and red P Plates. Riding with the window down, blasting 1979 from the stereo... ahh, heaven.
Remember me in my opaqueness.

I love riding my cruiser bike.. Along the beach path with the breeze in my hair and the sun shining.. It always finishes off the ride with a beach swim.. Gotta love it!!
I Heart William McInnes...

I'm in BrisVegas, so Dendy Portside works for me.

This sounds like an interesting movie, truckies and singing the best combination!
My favourite mode of transport is the public bus, i love observing people on it as stalkerish as that sounds, and spending a little quiet time listening to music or reading the paper.
Would love to go to a screening session at Newtown!
"Love is the only fuel you need..." and some petrol
My first car was a Toyota rav 4, had some good times with that car, I now drive a Toyota seca hatchback-I still dream of owning my own motorbike and my ultimate mode of transport for a day adventure comprises of driving in a Jeep wrangler, quad biking/dirt bike riding in the desert sands and then trekking by foot...
fun fun!
Pick me, pick me!
My favourite mode of transport is our car, a sedan that holds me and my husband, 2 children, and loads of stuff in the boot. Each year we go on a driving holiday from Melbourne to the Gold Coast and have a fantastic time!
Yes please!

Cool!
Hmmm - looks like an interesting movie, and it would be great to score some free tix - thanks for having a giveaway! My first car was a 1979 Toyota Corona - pale green. I loved that car. I had it for 12 years, but it finally died in 2004 in the desert in South Australia. We pushed her to the tip, but I saved the Corona badges and have framed them in memory. Ahhh the things we do!
