Attention: New artist & designer markets! The Underbelly 08 Twilight Art Markets, will take place on Saturday 5th July at CarriageWorks (Everleigh, Sydney) as part of the Underbelly Public Arts Lab + Festival (July 3 - 13, 2008). Part band camp, part fringe festival, Underbelly brings scores of edgy, emerging and experimental artists together to collaborate, rehearse, build, workshop and create a diverse program of work. First held in 2007, the Underbelly Public Arts Lab + Festival is set to once again capture the imagination of Sydney.
From 4pm - 11pm on 5.7.2008, the CarriageWorks foyer will be transformed into a marketplace for emerging Sydney artists & designers to sell their wares. Entry to the public is free, and if you'd like to book a market stall, you'll need to be quick!
The deadline for applications is Monday 23.6.2008 - this Monday - so get typing and email markets@underbelly.com.au for further information & an application form. The cost for stallholders is $100 per stall + insurance (TBC). If you have your own public liability insurance, then it's just the $100. I'm looking forward to going myself...
